Sharing from social media to discourse

Problem: I cannot share a link easily from LinkedIn to discourse like I can with what’s app, messenger etc.

to show you three things:

1: LinkedIn pitch
2. LinkedIn value proposition
3. A great idea for time traveling with AI’s which is my jam. In case you didn’t know I am a huge Dr. Who and Stargate fan. When I was a little girl in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, I imagined myself portaling to a far away place where I could discover a better life, a beloved community.

Possible solution?

What’s the problem? The link is there ?!

I will use the report a bug. Normally when on your phone you can hit the share button on linkedin and it gives me the option of what’s app, messenger etc. I added discourse as an option and the response from discourse was that it could not be shared. So I had to go back to LinkedIn and copy the url and then paste it in a message. What is one step on LinkedIn to what’s app is two steps for discourse. I’m speculating it’s because discourse doesn’t know where to place it. There’s not a direct stream to discourse chat or our community. Maybe something the Fiverrr guy could figure out.

I see. We can search for the issues reason. It wouldn’t list in the share destinations, if it wasn’t intended to work….
However, I’ve experienced similar issues very often. Which is why I barely use these features. They are buggy to often.
