GreenLeap Design Challenge

In December 2015 CCI participated in a unique and powerful educational program a co-creative design challenge called GreenLeap. The design challenge took a student team from the School of Design to Bali Indonesia, where we worked with the greenschool to co-design a digital platform for their biodiesel recyclable fuel bus.

GreenLEAP was created to teach co-creative and emergent learning principles to a diverse group of students and coaches while providing a unique cross-cultural experience for students and faculty. Over the course of 2.5 weeks, our Masters students worked alongside high school students from the greenschool. In all there were twelve different design teams, each coached by volunteers from all over the globe. From deforestation to digital platforms, the teams took on a variety of real-world issues. It was an unforgettable experience, demonstrating the value of design education and co-creation as an enabler and motivator for young students to make a difference in the world.
